Helping The Poor and Lost Find Jesus

Yellowstone Park  June 2014

Proverbs 28:27 He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

Proverbs 29:7 The righteous considereth the cause of the of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.

Ecclesiastes 9:16 Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.

Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

One thing that brought me back to the Lord Jesus was that he came as a servant. His humility and realness was profoundly refreshing in this pretentious world. Reading the Bible, we can see the nature of God is one of love, especially loving those who are humble and looked over by the proud and arrogant. That Jesus isn't a respecter of persons makes him stand out in a world where the outward man is what matters to most.

Asking the questions of why are we here, what is the meaning of this life - we seek the truth without compromise. What else matters than the truth, what else is real? And can't there be only one truth? What sense does it make that there are billions, trillions of truths? There can only be one truth, the rest are lies.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

We can believe a man who came as a servant and did miracles throughout his life, in whom there was found no evil, and was killed without cause. Or, we can believe flawed people who have evil fruits and loose ends that lead nowhere.

Jesus Saves Ministry is being started to answer the call of the Lord to help the poor and lost. Those who are lost are poor in their spirit, and those that are poor physically need help monetarily. Both need support from a God who has the confidence and strength of a victor in this battle waging for our souls. God just needs people to be his vessels he can work through to help those he loves.

My wife and I are willing to be those vessels, we have died to this world and its pleasures. We are the broken and poor in need of a savior. Jesus Christ showed himself to us through faithful servants and we have been made free from the lies of the world and the bondage of sin.

We leave it up to God, as we all have to do at a certain point. God will use this ministry as much or as little as he wants. My wife and I just have to be willing to do the work. We, like many people just can't stand to see people in need of a helping hand go by without helping them. Yes, we help here and there when we can like you do to, but it takes time, it takes money to have time. Most of these people just need someone who cares and has their head on straight to have confidence in them.

The world is such a lonely place with everyone running around too busy to even spend time with their family. Their sins are consuming them as they secretly vent their frustrations through their dark outlets. In the meantime, our communities are becoming a wasteland, and those that were ready to be converted to Jesus have slipped into a deeper demise and even eternal darkness. "Someone has to care", Win Worley said, "and if the people of God aren't going to care, I don't know who is", said Win...

This blog is our meeting place, this is where my wife and I will come to relay everything that we are doing in regards to this ministry. We will have pictures, stories, articles, statements, interviews, testimonies, progress reports, and general edification. Join us in this ministry and we can do this together. In time the blog here will fill out and the details will emerge about the focal points we are planning on working to reach the poor and lost.

As of now, we plan on making help packs, ministry packs, and visiting rehab centers and jails to try and minister to people in need. In time we hope to expand on this, and have an office where people can gather to have coffee and get resources for getting jobs and housing. Also, we can conduct showings of Christian Watchman broadcasts and videos to help edify the people, as well as Bible studies. The Christian watchman we give to and follow are on this blog, I will make a more extensive list later in a post, but these are partly who we give our 10% tithe to.

We always want to rely on Jesus Christ to be our light and guide, and if it's God's will, this ministry will grow and we will therefor have new ideas to reach the poor and lost. Thank you for coming by and God bless you.
